Greece for 48 years

My first visit to Greece was back in 1976.
At that time we would travel by train - through former Jugoslavien or down to Brendisi in Italy and have the ferryboat to Corfu and Patras.

It was love at first sight. And more or less every summer I would travel to Greece, either alone or with a friend.

When I did travel to Asia (Indonesia and Thailand) around 1990-93, I would often miss Greece - the lovely dry climate, blue skys, clear blue water everywhere, and not at least, a friendly easygoing people, what always makes you feel welcome.

During the late 1970's and 1980's I visit Halkadiki in the north, the northern Sporades (Skiathos) and quite a few of the Cyklades, Corfu and Peloponnese i the west.

During a one month visit to Crete in 1992 - I passed by Paleochora. Since then I only go one place - Paleochora, which have become like my second home :-)
